Sleep

It's 4am, and lady upstairs has her TV on so friggin loud I can almost make out the words that the guy is saying. It's super annoying cuz I had a headache when I went to bed, and it was one of those headaches that will go away with a good night's sleep. Guess who's not getting a good night's sleep? Guess who is getting a good night's sleep? Guess who still has a headache at 4 am?
So now, because I did not get a good night's sleep, my fairly manageable headache has morphed into one that is much harder to get rid of. This is the life I live. Stupid equilibrium. If I don't do everything just right, then my life becomes a nightmare of trying to function with a throbbing pain above my left eye ball.

I should just march my ass up stairs, bang on the woman's door and demand that she turn her TV down. But I'm not going to because that's probably not what I should do since I am incredibly pissed right now. And besides, she'd prolly not even hear me bangin' on her door over the sound of her fucking loud TV.

Stupid loud old lady with her stupid loud TV. Get a hearing aid lady so I can get some sleep.

Politics

I gotta admit, I am a little surprised that the Health Care bill passed. This is a great victory for the American people! Hooray! (I kind of want to have a party...)

What really gets my goat, though, is that the media keeps calling it a victory for Obama. Why does everything have to be about Democrats or Republicans winning? Aren't these people supposed to be looking out for our interests??? Didn't we vote for them so they would stand up in Washington and say, "This is what the people want. This is what the people need"? Hello? This isn't a win for Obama or for Democrats. This is a win for us! This is a win for the Framers of our Constitution (though I think if they could see what has happened to our legislative process, they might be a little disappointed in the childishness of our representatives).

I wish the media would spend less time treating the debates in Washington like a boxing match for Democrats and Republicans, and would spend more time doing what they're supposed to: informing the people. Telling us that we'll have death panels is not informative or helpful.

That is all. I'll be done whining for now...

Vacation, Part 4

I have returned home from vacation. The trip was fantastic.

In other news: I hate drugs.

Vacation, Part 3

Rain? What? When planning a vacation, the thought didn't really occur to me that my plans might become foiled by kamikaze water attacking me from the sky.
Now what am I supposed to do????

Some Observations

Since I have this blog, I feel the need to keep my many faithful readers entertained with new and exciting posts. I really have nothing with any redeeming social value to contribute to the Interwebs at this time, so I shall simply clutter the space with my blathering. Here are a few observations I have made...

* FACT: Persons with beer guts and saggy pectorals should not go shirtless. Chubby people of the world, consider this your public service announcement. Tub the chub.

* FACT: Every man I have interacted with that left his shirt unbuttoned low enough to expose his hairy chest has been an extremely creepy man. If you are too warm, wear a t-shirt. You aren't Fabio, and your chest hair isn't sexy.

* FACT: "Your Hand in Mine" by Explosions in the Sky is possibly the only anything that has been able to instantly make me happy every time I experience it. Other things come close but fail once in a while. Even hugs. The only conclusion that can be drawn from this observation is that Explosions in the Sky must be God.

* FACT: Words are fascinating. Language is inadequate.
